kiln firing service

Are you making ceramics at home? Looking to fire them in Tallinn? I'm your gal...!

I have a fairly large kiln (Kittec 120L) and typically fire to cone 6. It can fit well over a100 items (depending on size) in bisque fire and up to 60 items in glaze fire (also depening on size). You can bring only a couple of pieces to be fired, rent out a shelf space or even an entire kiln.

PRICING

  • individual items will be charged based on size.
    ...<10cm = 2€
    10-15 cm = 4€

These are prices for one firing, if you want both bisque and glaze fire multiply the price with 1.5.
  • Shelf price 12€, max height 10cm. If the items are higher the price varies.

  • Full kiln rental, also the only option if you fire to a different temperature than cone 6.
    Bisque fire 30€.
    Glaze fire 50€.

RULES

  • I will only fire clay and glazes when I know the source or brand. If you can provide links, it will help. Firing random materials in wrong temperatures can ruin other works in the kiln or the kiln itself. In case that happens or if the incorrect firing temperature is requested, kiln repair costs will be covered by the client who ordered the firing service.

  • Max width of the item is 47 cm, max height 55 cm (this means you are renting the whole kiln).

  • If you are bringing your items to be glaze fired make sure that the bottoms of the items are well cleaned. Dirty bottoms will ruin the kiln shelves and your work.
